Religious Education Letter - Spring 2008 |
| Dear Families, Enclosed you will find your registration form for the 2008-2009 year of Religious Education. Because of our growing enrollment we are offering the monthly program in different options this year. Please be sure to specify the day you want. It is also important that you be open to other than your first choice. PARENTS OF PRESENT KINDERGARTNERS – These children should be registered as first graders. Our program is based on the September grade. Please be sure to include this child’s date of birth and place of Baptism. There will be a separate registration for Little Church School in the fall for next year’s preschoolers. PARENTS OF PRESENT EIGHTH GRADERS – These young people will be entering our high school program in the fall. There will be a separate registration. FOR ALL – If children attend a Catholic school they do not need to attend the grade level religious education – they do need to participate in sacrament preparation at the parish. Please let us know if your child is attending a Catholic school. Please remember that the summer session is only one part of our total program. The summer session this year is for grades 1-5 only. Those in grades 6, 7, and 8 should participate in Youth Ministry Programs during the year. Children between the ages of five and twelve are welcome to participate in the Liturgy of the Word with Children year round at the 9:00 and 11:00 Masses. INFORMATION NIGHT – On Wednesday, May 14, 7:00 pm, there will be an information session for new parishioners and for those families who will have a child in the program for the first time. Registration for sacrament preparation programs is separate from this registration. You will be notified in the bulletin and by mail. Registration for those entering grades 9-12 will be mailed in the Fall. You will receive an e-mail confirmation when we receive the registration. Please call with any questions or concerns. |
